I had been meaning to stop by Fizz & Co. after Travis Coffman gave a glowing review of their Nathan’s Famous Dawgs. I still regret not going there sooner but am glad I did last week! It is certainly one of the island’s best kept secrets as I was able to sit at the counter and order without lining up or waiting for service.

It is only right to start the year with a spotlight on what has to be an extraordinary Teppanyaki performance at the President Nippon by the Nippon’s Chef De Cuisine, Yoshifuru Kaneko. I have had the pleasure of being served by Chef Kaneko during several special dinners.

Okay, so I had heard some complaints as well as heard the Hype. Complaints were about service. Hype was about food. Maybe it depends on what time you go...I was there mid afternoon so there were only a handful (if that many) of customers so I had no problem with service!
 

One of the island’s hardest working, most determined and friendliest restaurant owners has moved from her Upper Tumon location next to Infusion to a better spot with more “drop-in” traffic in the old CEBU Buffet Restaurant in Harmon, just across from the Micronesia Mall.

If you’ve not yet been to the World Cafe at the Fiesta Resort & Spa in Tumon, you are definitely missing out on one of the island’s largest buffet selections. You will definitely understand why they live up to their name, “World Cafe” once you start taking an inventory of the variety of foods they serve in the buffet lines.

I had a $25 meal coupon that was due to expire in one day! It wasn't just any coupon, it was one for the Samurai restaurant, which houses the Teppanyaki restaurant as well as the Samurai Crabpot (which I have yet to try). I thought my best option was lunch since the Crabpot requires two diners and I was alone.
