It is always wonderful to discover a new, exotic place to eat. Saipan's Everest Kitchen makes the discovery more memorable. I had the opportunity to stop by here one afternoon and was delighted to have my friend, Chef Gabriele Colombo, join me for a late lunch.

I was finally able to stop by the new Meskla Dos (2.0) down in Tumon across the street from the Guam Reef Hotel & Westin Resort Guam. It was a late lunch (3:30) but they were open for business. I'd only seen this place from outside while driving by and had found parking on the side in the spaces shared by their neighbor Rotary Sushi.

I was so very hungry this past Thursday and stopped by Cup & Saucer since I'd just left the Bank of Hawaii. I was too late for their fabulous Spring Lunch Specials - today would have been the Pasta Carbonara ($11.95) w/chicken ($15.95). It has that rich egg and cream sauce, smokey bacon, parmesan cheese and garlic toast!! Yum!!

There are some interesting things going on at the Leo Palace Resort and in particular in the Lago Cafe, where I just happened to be having my lunch on the day of the great GVB BBQ Block Party. I found out that they had just launched their new menu (a project led by new arrival Chef Donn Gueniot).

I had the pleasure of dining at the new Bubba Gump Shrimp Company this past Wednesday night. It was a most impressive experience! I will be writing a fuller review soon but wanted to get a few images from the other night posted.

Stepping out onto the sandy white beaches in front of the newly-built Surf Club in Chalan Kanoa, I was utterly spellbound by the slow-motion movement of the waves, lapping up against the shoreline with
