It had been some time since we last visited Kanda's Corner and it was fortuitous for us to do so on New Year's Day! Tumon was packed with tourists and this restaurant on the 2nd Floor of the Plaza was jam-packed!

We are all excited and looking once again to savoring the wondrous creations of celebrity chef Roy Yamaguchi, one of the founders of the Hawaiian Regional Cuisine movement and cuisine known as Pacific Rim fusion. Two special dinners with wine tasting will be held next Friday and Saturday.

Sushi Ebisu is closed down temporarily until they complete their move down the street to their new location on the second fl oor of the Royal Orchid Hotel in the previous location occupied by Singapura. The last night of business in their quaint familiar izakaya-sushi bar was June 28. They are looking to open in early August.

Okay, it's King's again! I had seen a flyer in the paper and had not yet dropped in to try out some of the new offerings. King's has really "stepped up to the plate" with these new Value Menu offerings. I knew that their food and service had greatly improved. Their marketing is also more sophisticated.

One of the things I really enjoy is eating a simple Sunday breakfast as opposed to gorging myself on a giant buffet spread. I had attempted to get to Tapanade to try the Salmon Benedict I'd seen on a FaceBook post. It was one that announced they were going to be open for breakfast on Saturday and Sunday.

I had the pleasure of having an impulsive lunch date with my friend and co-worker, Jo-Anne Q. who had tasted some of Lemai’s special meals when I’d brought some to the office last year.
