Roy’s has done it again! They’ve created a new level of dining experience for local residents to explore the Euro-Asian Pacific Rim cuisine that has made Roy Yamaguchi a world renown celebrity chef.

When I mentioned Suphan Thai in our previous newsletter I had not yet eaten there, and had only the endorsements of folks who had been there for their “tasting event” about the quality of the food. Now, after having eaten at Suphan for dinner, I can confidently recommend Suphan Thai Restaurant to you as a positive dining experience.

If you’ve not yet been to Chopstix in Hagatna, you are missing out on one of Guam’s hidden Japanese treasures. The food is authentic and prepared fresh by Kaori Sablan. We were there for dinner one night and it is well worth the drive from Tamuning to Hagatna to eat Japanese!

One of Tumon’s newer breakfast and lunch destinations is the Sunflower Restaurant in the Aurora Resort.

Tasting a cuisine at the source is an exhilarating experience that stimulates all senses. It doesn’t get any better than eating food made by experts on home soil. Local ingredients picked at their prime, dishes cooked in season by someone who learned them from his or her grandma and has been cooking them for years — what more can you ask for?

I don't know how they do it but I'm glad they do it! I know it has a lot to do with culinary inspiration. I know that this is one of the few island eateries that is committed to using fresh local produce and ingredients in their menu creations.
