Dolphin Club Saipan Kicks off Summer Fun Open Water Series on Father’s Day
Saipan, CNMI – June 11th, 2019 – Dolphin Club Saipan kicks off their annual Summer Fun Open Water Series (OWS) with a 2.5k Father’s Day Sunrise Wreck Swim.
The Wreck Swim will be on Sunday, June 16th, 2019 at Hyatt (in front of Skipper’s Bar) with registration starting at 5:00AM. In addition to on-site registration, interested participants may register online at bit.ly/fdwreckswim.
The Summer Fun OWS offers four more swims, two being qualifiers for the 7.25k Eagle Ray swim.
Pau Pau Triangle offers three swim distances: 50m, 1.5k, and the Eagle Ray qualifier, 3.5k. The swim begins at Pau Pau Beach with registration at 7AM and start time at 8AM on July 6th, 2019.
The Pau Pau to Tanapag swim is another 3.5k Eagle Ray qualifier scheduled for Saturday, August 3rd, 2019. Registration begins on Pau Pau Beach at 6:45AM with start time at 7:30AM.
The biggest swim, Eagle Ray, is a 7.25k swim from Pau Pau beach to Managaha. Eagle is set for Saturday, September 14, 2019, with registration at 5:45AM and start time at 6:40AM. This swim requires each swimmer to have an approved kayaker as a safety escort to Managaha.
The Summer Fun OWS ends with the Halloween Hunter Moon Swim on October 13th, 2019. This fun night swim offers a .5k or 1k route at the Guma Sakman. Registration begins at 6:45PM and start time at 7:30PM.
All swims have a registration fee of $20 for non-DCS members, $10 for DCS members, and FREE for lifeguards with proof of certification.
Dolphin Club Saipan (DCS) is the swim program of 500 Sails that offers free lessons for adults. Lessons are on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday mornings at 6AM.
