DEDEDO, GUAM — June 8, 2026 — What began as a humble 150-square-foot trading card shop has grown into Guam’s first dedicated trading card café experience. Local husband-and-wife entrepreneurs Don and Jisela Martinez are celebrating the grand opening of their expanded concept, bringing together two complementary businesses under one roof: My Wife Told Me To Sell It and My Husband Told Me To Chill It.

Since opening in 2025, My Wife Told Me To Sell It has quickly become a gathering place for Guam’s growing community of Pokémon, One Piece, and trading card game enthusiasts. Known for its selection of sealed products, rare singles, graded cards, and engaging social media presence, the shop has cultivated a loyal following of collectors, players, and hobbyists across the island.

Just one year later, the business has expanded into a new 1,290-square-foot location along Route 16 in Harmon, creating significantly more space for the community to gather, play, trade, and collect. Features include dedicated play tables, premium display cases known as The Gallery for showcasing both rare and everyday collectibles, and the Bulk Bar, an organized browsing experience designed to help collectors complete their favorite sets one card at a time.

The expansion also introduces My Husband Told Me To Chill It, a specialty café that occupies the other half of the space. The café is operated in partnership with local entrepreneurs Mark and Andrea Mansanao, who joined Don and Jisela Martinez to bring the concept to life. Together, the team created a menu featuring handcrafted signature lattes made with house-made syrups, affogatos, fresh-baked desserts, and specialty drinks designed to complement the hobby experience.

Customer favorites already include the café’s signature Butter Pecan Latte, its popular Brookie, and the unique Rip & Sip experience, which allows guests to bundle their treats with Pokémon or One Piece booster packs. During designated happy hours, customers can enjoy discounted Rip & Sip combos, creating a fun and social way to enjoy both hobbies and refreshments.

Together, the two concepts create a destination unlike anything else on Guam—one that welcomes serious collectors, casual players, coffee enthusiasts, families, and even the “plus ones” who may not know the difference between Charizard and Pikachu.
