HITA Holiday Presentation with Pale’ Eric Forbes and GTBS Brass Ensemble on Dec. 16

13 December 2017 — (Hagåtña, Guam) The Guam Museum invites the community to enjoy a lively Saturday at the museum with a HITA Talk Presentation on CHamoru Christmas traditions, and a holiday music performance by the Guam Territorial Band Society (GTBS) brass ensemble.
On Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Guam Museum Indoor Theater, as part of the Guam Museum’s monthly scheduled HITA Talk series, CHamoru historian Pale’ Eric Forbes will explore the history behind some of our beloved holiday traditions on Guam. Pale’ Forbes is a Capuchin priest noted for his research on Marianas History and CHamoru language, which is shared via his well-known blog, Paleric (paleric.blogspot.com). He is a contributor to numerous publications, and the executive producer for the documentary film, I Am Chamorro, which chronicles the rich 4,000 year history of the CHamoru people
Also, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., enjoy the music of the GTBS Brass ensemble as they perform holiday and CHamoru classics for the season under the Guam Musem arch on the 2nd floor.
