Press Conference for TRENCH™ Kids and Challenge

TRENCH™ KIDS

A Mini Obstacle Course Race exclusively for children ages 4 - 11 to take place on Saturday April 15th at the Guam International Raceway in the morning.

Kids will get a chance to tackle up to 10 different obstacles and terrain challenges on the course. At the finish, they’ll receive a finisher medal, juice box, and Hafaloha design finisher shirt. Awards will be given to top finishers in their division.

At 11:30am the activities shift to the raceways lawn for a free easter egg hunt open to the public! Prizes will be given out to the kids that find the marked eggs.

• Start time: 6:30 AM (Different start times for each age division)
• Distance: 1.5km
• Obstacles: Approximately 10
• Divisions: 4-5yrs / 6-7yrs / 8-9yrs / 10-11yrs
• Pre-registration price starting at $25
• Includes Finisher medal, Custom Hafaloha Finisher shirt, Juice box, and giveaways.
• Top finishers in each divisions to be awarded with trophies.

TRENCH™ CHALLENGE

Is a 5k distance Obstacle Course Race that will take place on the Guam International Raceway’s 250 acre property that anyone can start and everyone can finish. Whether a top athlete or just beginning the challenge, participants will have the chance to overcome over 20 obstacles. Finishers will be rewarded with a custom finisher medals, a Hafaloha design high performance dri-fit jersey, an ice cold Heineken Light (21 and over only), Pizza, Free event day photos by professional photographers (downloadable post race), and giveaways from sponsors.

UPSHIFT ENT. produced the inaugural TRENCH™ MUDDER in 2016 at the Guam International Raceway and kicked the level of OCR’s up a notch, by simultaneously hosting a Crossfit competition, attracting teams from Saipan and Japan, and raising $5,000.00 for Guam Cancer Care and Special Olympics Guam, thus pulling off the most successful OCR to date.

As we evolve into doing more, TRENCH™ MUDDER is now TRENCH™ CHALLENGE and the website has been changed to trenchevents.com

This year we are elevating the sport on Guam to a global level by becoming an affiliate of the OCR World Championships. What this means is that TRENCH™ CHALLENGE is now an official qualifier for the OCRWC and will be listed side by side with the the biggest and baddest Obstacle Course Races in the world.
Events like Spartan Race (USA & International), Warrior Dash (USA & International), World’s Toughest Mudder (Tough Mudder Inc. USA), Mudstacle League (UK), Jeep Warrior Race (South Africa), Gladiator Race (Russia), Nordic Race (Denmark & Sweden), Raw Challenge (Australia), just to name a few. Our local competitors and competitors trying to get a slot in our region will have the chance to go up against the best in the world.

TRENCH™ CHALLENGE 2017 is scheduled to take place Sunday August 13th at the Guam International Raceway. Participants can expect additional challenges and new obstacles.

• Early Bird Registration opens January 20th online.
• Elite Division: $60
• Team Challenge Division (5 member team): $50 ea
• Recreational Division: $45 ea (No time and can make team up to 20 ppl)
• Price increases $5 every 3 weeks.
• Last day to register is August 9.
• On-site registration will be taken upon availability
• In-person registration to open in April.

Who will qualify to enter and compete at OCRWC?
Top 3 Male and Female finishers in the Elite Division.
Top 5 in each age group of Elite Division.
Male: 13-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50+
Female: 13-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50+

Trophies, awards, and qualifying certificate to be given to Top 3 finishers in Elite Division.
Top 5 Elite Division runners in each age group will receive qualifying certificate.

The Team Challenge Division top finishers will receive trophies and prizes. We will have separate awards for corporate team challenge.
