The 11th Annual 2k/5k Mango Run, which is scheduled on the May 20 - a week prior to the Mango Festival, takes place in the scenic route along the roadside of Agat.

The race starts at the front of the Festival location (Agat Mayor's Office and Sagan Bisita Grounds). This route, as in every year prior, allows visitors to see the mountain and hills on one side and the beautiful natural view of the shores and bay of Agat on the other. The halfway point of the 5k run turns around at the Agat's boat basin by the bay, returning back to the Mango Festival Location.

The race will be followed by refreshments, drawings and awards to acknowledge the top runners and giveaways to the participants.

The race fee is $10 per runner and $35 for a family of four if you register before race day ($10/person on day of race).

The first 350 finishers will receive t-shirts and mangoes will be given to runners (while supplies last) at the end of the race.

The Agat Mango Festival's "Mango Run" is also a sanctioned Guam Runner's Club official annual event, so precise times are recorded and all participants must register at the Agat Mayor's Office to fill out the entry forms. Anyone interested in participating should visit the Agat Mayor's Office to fill out an entry form. If your offisland and would like to participate, you can fill out the entry form and then visit the registration desk on race day to complete the registration. The Mayor's Office can email a registration form for you to fill out.

Showtime and registration begins at 5 a.m. or so before the official race start at 6 a.m. To register or for more information, you can email or call 671-565-2524 x 4335.
