Have you ever dreamed about having your photo featured on the cover of a magazine?
In May 2024, the next edition of our annual Stars and Stripes Welcome to the Pacific magazine will hit the streets, and we’re looking for you, our readers, to help make it the best ever!
As we are proud of saying, our community newspapers, websites and magazines are “about you, for you, and in some cases, by you.” With that in mind, we’re looking for you to submit photos for the front pages of our three Welcome to the Pacific magazines – mainland Japan/Okinawa, Korea and Guam.
So, if you live in or have visited these areas, take a look at your photos. Do any of them stand out? Is there a particular place or setting that catches your eye? Maybe it’s a photo of people enjoying themselves at a festival or market. Maybe it’s a photo of one of the country’s natural wonders. No matter what, we’ll look at all submissions and choose the best photo for each of the three magazines. And if they don't make the cover, we'll see if we can find a place for them inside the magazine.
Hey, we want our audience to take ownership of our community products, so we are excited to see what photos folks send in. Who knows, maybe yours will be featured on the cover of one of our Welcome to the Pacific editions.
- Photos should be sent as a JPEG or TIFF file.
- Resolution should be 300 DPI or higher
- Photos taken from an iPhone are normally around 300 DPI or higher
