United Airlines launches fare sale to Japan from Guam and Saipan

GUAM, March 12, 2023 – United Airlines launched today a special 55th anniversary fare sale on its direct routes to Japan from Guam and Saipan, only two weeks after announcing its flights to Japan will significantly increase during the summer travel season. This special fare offers Basic Economy tickets beginning at $455 to commemorate United’s 55 years of service in Guam and Micronesia, which United is celebrating now through 2024.

Customers in Guam can book this special fare immediately for all routes between Guam (GUM) and Japan -- Narita/Tokyo (NRT), Chubu/Nagoya (NGO), Kansai/Osaka (KIX), and Fukuoka (FUK). Customers in Saipan can book travel to Japan on United’s nonstop service from Saipan (SPN) to NRT, which flies three times weekly between the two destinations.

The 55th anniversary fare is available now through March 19, 2023, for travel between March 10 and May 31, 2023, and is valid for weekday travel for a 21-day maximum stay. Fares are subject to the availability on United® aircraft only. Seats are also capacity-controlled and may not be available on all flights and/or dates. *Terms and conditions apply.

United expands summer flight schedules to Japan from Guam
United recently announced its 2023 Japan and Guam summer flight schedule, which becomes effective March 26, 2023. United will significantly increase its flights on all routes between Guam and Japan -- NRT, NGO, KIX, and FUK -- to a total of up to 56 flights a week. United continues to offer three weekly flights between SPN and NRT.

Flight schedules are subject to change without advance notice. Customers are encouraged to book their flights through united.com, the United app, through local travel agents, or at United’s City Ticket Office in Tiyan.

United reminds customers that Early Check-in service is available for all Guam travelers who are leaving on early morning flights. Passengers can check in the night before their flights to avoid long lines at the airport. Early Check-in service is offered daily from 7:30 - 9:30 p.m. at the United counter at the A. B. Won Pat International Airport, Guam.

Taxes of approximately $52.19 for travel from Guam and $39.40 for travel from Saipan are not included and are subject to currency adjustments and applicable taxes, passenger facility charges, and security fees. Fares, taxes, and carrier-imposed fees are subject to change without notice. Tickets must be purchased at the time of booking, but no later than March 19, 2023. Travel must originate in Guam or Saipan and commence between March 5 and May 31, 2023. Valid for roundtrip travel from Guam to Narita, Nagoya, Osaka, or Fukuoka and from/via Saipan to Narita on UA 824 and UA 825. Fares are subject to the availability of Economy G class on United® aircraft only. Seats are capacity-controlled and may not be available on all flights and/or dates. The maximum stay is 21 days before departure from the fare origin. Stopovers are not permitted. Other restrictions: Open return is not permitted. All segments must be confirmed at the time of ticketing. No waitlist allowed. Other discounts and travel certificates are not applicable. Tickets are nonrefundable in case of cancellation, no-show, or refund (except in accordance with United’s 24-hour booking policy). Reservations must be canceled before the original scheduled flight or ticket has no value. Penalties: No changes permitted. Other restrictions and additional bag fees may apply. The original and re-issued ticket must be annotated – NONREF/0VALUAFTDPT/CHGFEE – in the endorsement box. Service fee applies for ticket issuance through reservations and United City Ticket Office.
