(Tamuning, Guam) Thursday, April 27, 2023– GTA, Guam's longest-serving telecom company on the island, has recently awarded several of its employees with the prestigious President's Volunteer Service Award or PVSA. A ceremony was held yesterday at the GTA Experience Center in Tamuning.

The company's vision to inspire the island community is evident in the volunteer efforts of its employees. The President's Volunteer Service Award recognizes individuals committed to volunteerism and community service. The award is a way to thank and honor Americans who, by their demonstrated commitment and example, inspire others to engage in volunteer service.

Recipients of the PVSA include:

* Martinez Family: Jisela Martinez (Strategic Business Development Lead in IT) and Don Martinez (Recruiting Manager)

* GTA Junior Achievement Mentors: Sharon Davis (Vice President of Customer Experience), Stacy Elarmo (Vice President of People Operations), Crena Byerly (Vice President of Enterprise Sales), Nathan Denight (Vice President of Marketing), Kyle Duenas (Director of Sales- Retail and eCommerce), GinaRose Cruz (Customer Experience Scheduler/Analyst), and Stefanie Ditchen (Customer Experience Operations Specialist)

* Steve Jackson- Service Solutions Tech II

*Judy Rosario- Sales Director

GTA is firmly committed to volunteerism and community service, and it encourages its employees to give back to the community through its GTA Gives Philanthropic Initiatives. The company's employee volunteer program allows employees to volunteer their time and skills to local organizations and events. Through this program, the company can support various causes and initiatives that positively impact the island community.

In addition to awarding groups and individuals the President's Volunteer Service Award, GTA also gave out additional awards for employees who volunteered at most company-planned community events.
