(Tamuning, Guam) Monday, June 30, 2025 — GTA will host its highly anticipated 2nd Annual Glo and Connect Workshop Series on Saturday, July 19, and Sunday, July 20, at the Crowne Plaza Resort Guam in Tumon. This FREE, two-day event aims to empower Guam’s youth with knowledge, mentorship, and exposure to real-world career paths as they prepare for life beyond high school.

The Glo and Connect series builds on GTA’s ongoing commitment to youth empowerment. Since launching the GTA Youth Leader Program in 2019, the company has continued to expand its efforts to support students through leadership opportunities, mentorship, and meaningful educational experiences.

Following the success of last year’s inaugural Glo and Connect event at the Micronesia Mall, this year’s workshop returns with even more opportunities for students to grow. Open to all high school students on Guam—including incoming freshmen entering high school for School Year 2025–2026— the event will feature a dynamic lineup of local leaders, professionals, and wellness advocates who will lead interactive sessions covering topics such as work readiness, career exploration, mental health, and personal development.

Students will also have the opportunity to receive free professional headshots to support future resume building and career preparation. Through breakout workshops and small group conversations, participants will gain practical tools and build meaningful connections that support their academic and professional journey.

Registration is open now with limited spots available. Once capacity is reached, a waitlist will be opened for students who would still like the opportunity to attend.

“At GTA, we’re focused on creating real opportunities for our youth to build skills, ask questions, and connect with people who’ve been in their shoes,” said Sharon Davis, Senior Vice President of Community Engagement and External Affairs at GTA. “Glo and Connect is about showing them what’s possible—and reminding them they have a community that’s rooting for them.”
