- Acting Gov. Joshua Tenorio:

“Congratulations and thank you to the Guam National Guard, the Department of Public Health and Social Services, the University of Guam Global Learning and Engagement team, AmeriCorps and the Serve Guam Commission, and all those who have given their time to the UOG COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic over the last year.

Administering over 170,000 doses to our people has made a lasting impact to our community, both in saving lives and in getting our island one step closer to recovery.

Although our job is not finished, I know you will keep up the good work and the reputation of professionalism, efficiency, and respect that you have earned. During these difficult times, you have showcased the very best our island has to offer, and on behalf of Governor Lou Leon Guerrero and our administration, we are all so very proud.”

- Maj. Gen. (GU) Esther Aguigui, adjutant general, Guam National Guard:

“An immense Thank You from myself, Command Sgt. Major Celso Leonen, and the Guam National Guard command team to the Soldiers, Airmen, families, and employers of those who have served at the University of Guam COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic over the past year. Since January 2021, you’ve held the line. In the face of imminent danger, uncertainty, recurring surges and ever-changing missions, you’ve held the line and helped save lives. You are consummate professionals, and we are unimaginably proud of each and every one of you.

Please take the time to pat each other on the back, hug your families, and thank your employers for a job well done so far. And please take the time to recognize our loyal and hardworking partners in Public Health, UOG, Americorps, and our volunteer nurses and staff. Without you all, this operation would not have been as successful as it has been.

On behalf of our Commander in Chief, Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero, thank you all for the privilege of your continued service and sacrifices. May God continue to bless you all, each and every day.”

Capt. Denise Chargualaf, commander, Task Force Medical:

“OLG Happy 1 Year Anniversary!

One year ago today, in the midst of the rush to get our most vulnerable vaccinated against COVID-19, the GUNG opened the UOG Field House for vaccinations under the mission name Operation Liberate Guam. Since then, we’ve given over 170,000 total doses at various locations, including 54 Strike Team missions. About 90% of Guam is now vaccinated, thanks to your efforts, our lead agency DPHSS, our partners at UOG, AmeriCorps, and the nurses and staff from clinics and hospitals around the island who volunteered their time.

Thank you for all you do, and continue to do every day.

Biba Task Force Medical!”
