Prugråman Ayuda Para I Taotao-ta Energy Credit program extension provides additional relief through April 2023
(Fadian, Guam) – Guam Power Authority confirmed today that it received funding from the Guam Department of Administration to apply the first $100 energy credit under the Prugråman Ayuda Para I Taotao-ta Energy Credit Program extension for December 2022. GPA received a total of $5.27 million in electronic fund transfer from DOA, allowing the public utility to begin to apply the $100 credits to all active residential and commercial account holders.
Residential and commercial customers with active, qualified accounts should receive the December increment of the $100 energy credits beginning tomorrow, December 29, 2022.
Public Law 36-123, the extension to the Prugråman Ayuda Para I Taotao-ta Energy Credit Program, was passed by the 36th Guam Legislature on December 16, 2022, and signed into law by Governor Lou Leon Guerrero on December 17, 2022. The energy credit program provides immediate financial relief to more than 50,000 GPA qualified residential and commercial customers. The additional $100 monthly credits will be applied to active, qualified accounts from December 2022 to April 2023.
Customers will see the energy credits listed on their power bill statements or through their online GPA accounts at paygpa.com.
