U.S. Naval Base Guam sailors and civilians volunteer at Guam Veterans Cemetery

PITI, Guam (May 6, 2021) - Sailors and civilians from U.S. Naval Base Guam (NBG) and various tenant commands volunteered at the Guam Veterans Cemetery in Piti May 6.
Volunteers removed debris and weeds from gravesites, washed down the mausoleums, and cleaned and shined the bronze grave markers throughout the cemetery. The volunteer efforts are in preparation for the upcoming Memorial Day Ceremony on May 31.
Snacks, lunch, and water were provided by the Veterans Affairs Office, the NBG USO, and Piti Mayor's Office.
