Learn to say “I love you” in nine languages just in time for Valentine’s Day at the “How to Say ‘I Love You’: Love Languages in the Pacific” event to be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13, at the Guam Museum. A fundraiser for the University of Guam’s College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences through the UOG Endowment Foundation, the event will be an evening to experience and appreciate the cultures and languages of the Pacific. Booths will be set up for each language taught at the University of Guam – CHamoru, Tagalog, Spanish, French, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Yapese, and Chuukese – featuring corresponding culinary delicacies and UOG students in cultural attire. The evening will also have live entertainment and free-flowing wine, craft beer, spirits, and non-alcoholic drinks. Valentine’s Day gifts will be available for purchase to help fundraise for the college, and distinctive hand-painted mugs featuring the college logo will be given out for every $50 donation. Ticket are $60 per person. Call 735-2957 or 735-2850, or purchase tickets online at https://url.uog.edu/f9jz99.
