The Felix M. and Governor Carlos G. Camacho Scholarship Foundation has awarded $2,000 scholarships to three outstanding undergraduate students from the University of Guam for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Freshman Mia Marchessault, sophomore Yoonji Seo, and junior Brian Teodosio were recognized at a special awards ceremony on November 9 for their academic achievements and commitment to their studies. Marchessault and Teodosio are pursuing degrees in business administration, while Seo is majoring in accounting.

The scholarships reflect the Camacho Foundation’s mission to support aspiring business leaders by providing financial assistance to students pursuing degrees in business, accounting, marketing, and related fields. Since its establishment in 1985, the foundation has empowered over 40 students from UOG, Guam Community College, and other institutions to achieve their academic and professional goals.

“The Felix M. and Governor Carlos G. Camacho Scholarship Foundation is deeply committed to empowering Guam’s students to reach their potential,” said Carlos P. Camacho, Community Relations Manager, PFC Shared Services. “By investing in their education, we’re not just supporting individual success but also strengthening the future of our island’s economy and community. We are honored to support these exceptional students as they take the next steps toward becoming the business leaders of tomorrow.”

Three scholarships are awarded annually to University of Guam students who meet the foundation’s criteria, which include full-time enrollment, maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.5, and being in good standing with the university.

Gena Rojas, Interim Dean of Enrollment Management and Student Success at UOG, commended the recipients: “These scholarships underscore the value of investing in our students and their bright futures.

We are grateful to the Camacho Foundation for continuing to champion the aspirations of Guam’s next generation of business leaders.”

The University of Guam congratulates Mia Marchessault, Yoonji Seo, and Brian Teodosio on their well-deserved recognition and expresses its gratitude to the Felix M. and Governor Carlos G. Camacho Scholarship Foundation for its ongoing support of higher education in Guam.
