The University of Guam and the Guam Waterworks Authority (GWA) signed a memorandum of understanding on August 28 which will provide UOG students with expanded internship and job opportunities at GWA. The partnership aims to nurture and develop local talent on the island through practical, hands-on experiences.

“The partnership underscores UOG’s commitment to providing students with meaningful career pathways while supporting the workforce needs of the local community,” said Dr. Anita Borja Enriquez, UOG President.

Through a similar partnership with the Guam Power Authority, nine UOG students were able to secure internships over the summer in key areas such as engineering, finance, human resources, and cybersecurity. These experiences provided students with invaluable skills and knowledge, directly contributing to the development of Guam’s future workforce.
