The public is invited to an online job and internship fair being hosted from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Wednesday by the Career Development Office at the University of Guam. The Online Employer Recruitment event is open to UOG students of all class levels as well as members of the public.

“Often times when you apply for a job, you don’t get to interact with anyone but the person at the front desk or a website, but this event provides a valuable opportunity to introduce yourself to human resource professionals and the executives and learn about the career opportunities they have available,” said Sallie Sablan, program coordinator with the UOG Career Development Office. “We encourage all who are looking for work to attend and to come prepared with your resume and cover letter.”

Participating employers:

  • American Job Center

  • Community First Federal Credit Union

  • Guam Army National Guard

  • Guam Imperial International

  • Guam Department of Education

  • Joint Region Marianas

  • Sorensen Media Group

  • And more!

All of the employers will be available from 10 a.m. to noon, and the Guam Department of Education will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will include presentations from each employer on their organization and available opportunities, followed by a chance for attendees to enter separate virtual rooms to talk with an employer one on one. Interested participants can register at here. Attendees should be sure to have their resumes and cover letters prepared in a digital format and should be prepared for on-the-spot interviews.

The Online Employer Recruitment event will be held again several days in December. Stay tuned for details.
