Japanese exchange students Hinako Higa, left, from the University of Ryukyus, and Natsume Shigetomi from Okayama University, hold the University of Guam’s “Big G” logo in front of the UOG Residence Halls, where they are living and studying this semester. Higa and Shigetomi are two of the first international exchange students to come to UOG since the start of the pandemic. Through its Global Learning and Engagement office, UOG has international student exchange agreements with approximately 80 institutions in Japan and South Korea.
