(Monday, June 17, 2019) — The Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB) joined the Häagen-Dazs locations of Fiesta Resort Guam, Guam Premier Outlets, JP Superstore, and Micronesia Mall at their Fiesta Resort Guam location, Tumon for a delightfully sweet Håfa Adai Pledge signing ceremony.

Häagen-Dazs Fiesta Resort Guam Manager, Nicolette Mesa, shared, “Our Fiesta Resort Guam location has been a part of this program for years. As a company, we are always striving to progress. For this reason, we wanted to have every one of our Guam Häagen-Dazs locations take the pledge while renewing our own. Häagen-Dazs is dedicated to promoting and sharing the island’s culture and spirit with our visitors and residents.”

Guam Visitors Bureau Cultural Heritage Officer, Dee Hernandez, noted, “This year we are celebrating the program’s 10-year anniversary, and this ceremony made the program even sweeter. I commend the Häagen-Dazs management and staff for how they greet everyone who walks in their doors with the most enthusiastic Håfa Adai spirit.”

The Håfa Adai Pledge has welcomed more than 922 businesses representing more than tens of thousands of individuals to the program. Because of this program, there are more than 43,500 individuals who deliver on their pledges to protect and share Guam’s unique culture.

Hernandez added, “Si Yu’os ma’åse’ to all the locations of Häagen-Dazs for contributing to this important effort.”

Throughout the month of June, GVB is also celebrating Pride Month alongside Guam’s LGBTQ community. GVB recognizes the LGBTQ community’s contributions to making Guam a better place to live, work and visit.
