Local sweets can be bought at most bakeries on Guam, but if you venture out in the early morning hours when the village stores first open, you will find freshly made baked goods sold at a lot of them, according to Annette “Annie” Merfalen, author of Annie’s Chamorro Kitchen blog. One however, stands out among the rest.
“A well-known island favorite for Chamorro sweets, and savory food too, can also be found at Chode Mart in Hagatna,” she says.
