The annual Japanese festival on Guam, usually held in autumn, will now take place in the spring. The change was made in response to concerns over the increased possibility of typhoons in autumn, according to a story published in the Pacific Daily News.
The event, which will be held April 12, 2025, is a traditional Japanese festival first introduced to Guam by The Japan Club of Guam in 1977. Attendees will experience a rare glimpse into Japanese culture through a variety of fun activities, including traditional Bon-odori dancing. Admission and shuttle service are free, although tickets are available for purchased for many activities.
