(Guam Softball Academy & Hotel Nikko Guam)
Tumon, Guam — Athletes, coaches, and families are invited to an empowering evening of insight and inspiration at the Hotel Nikko Guam on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. This special event is free of charge and is proudly presented by the Guam Softball Academy and Hotel Nikko Guam.
The event will feature two dynamic presentations designed to equip athletes with valuable mental performance tools and recruiting strategies to help them excel both on and off the field.
Jessica Ball, Owner and CEO of Great Waves Performance Consulting, will lead a session focused on helping athletes unlock their full potential. Her presentation will introduce proven strategies for building confidence, performing under pressure, and overcoming adversity. These techniques are designed not only to enhance athletic performance but also to help athletes successfully navigate the challenges of everyday life.
“These are tools athletes can use long after they walk off the field,” Ball shared. “They’ll help them handle pressure, bounce back from setbacks, and thrive in all areas of life.”
Following Ball’s session, Tisha Novello, Softball Mentor, Slapping Specialist, and Owner of Empowered Is She LLC, will dive into the recruiting process, providing athletes and parents with practical advice on how to stand out in today’s highly competitive college recruiting landscape. With thousands of athletes entering the transfer portal — including over 3,310 football players and nearly 900 softball players in just the first two days of the recent cycle — understanding how to lead with authenticity and avoid becoming another overlooked statistic is more important than ever.
“We’ll talk about how to build a strong foundation, communicate effectively with coaches, and lead with your own voice without getting caught in the trap of constant comparison,” Novello said.
This event is free and open to the public. Registration is required and can be completed online at www.guamtime.net.
