Honeybees play an essential role in our local ecosystem and the protection of them are critical, as Guam is one of the few places to have Varroa mite-free bees. This event will allow the Guam Beekeepers Association to educate and promote our precious honeybees and the rich diversity in our pure Guam honey. Additionally, Guam’s honey industry has great potential to enhance agritourism by offering visitors an opportunity to learn about local food production and the pollinators that strengthen it.
