(Mar. 4, 2022 – Tumon, Guam) – In celebration of Mes CHamoru (Chamorro Month), The Tsubaki Tower’s culinary experiences take center stage throughout the month of March. The resort announced today its Chamorro Cultural Dinner, culturally inspired food and beverage specials, and a staycation package to delight the elderly of Guam.

The Tsubaki Tower’s Mes Chamorro culinary program includes the following:

Chamorro Cultural Dinner at Casa Oceano

In addition to Casa Oceano’s regular menu, The Tsubaki Tower has added an expanded menu to present Chamorro cuisine creatively interpreted through the restaurant’s team of chefs. Local favorites to include a variety of Kelaguen dishes, Tinala Katne (dried beef), and chesa dishes (appetizers) will be authentically served and presented to delight all senses. The Chamorro Cultural Dinner is offered every Tuesday night throughout March. Dinner includes Guam Beer and select wines, and the cost per person is $50 (+10% service charge) per adult and $30 (+10%) per child.

The Tsubaki Tower has also invited cultural sensation Gef Pa’go to provide authentic cultural entertainment every Tuesday night from 7:00 – 7:30 p.m. to complete the Mes Chamorro celebration.

Chamorro Chesa Menu at the Nunu Bar

Beginning March 8, The Tsubaki Tower invites the community to enjoy the Nunu Bar’s new Chamorro Chesa (appetizers) menu from 11:00 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. Local flavors, such as Poke Nachos, Uhang (shrimp) Sliders, and Tinala Katne (dried beef) perfectly accompany the bar’s full menu of cocktails and beers.

Nunu, which means “banyan tree” in Chamorro, is the root of the hotel. Located at the ground level, the outdoor casual bar offers stunning views of the hotel’s infinity pool, pristine Tumon Bay, and beyond to the blue hues of the Pacific Ocean. The Nunu Bar serves cocktails, drinks, smoothies, and snacks in a relaxed and cool atmosphere. Enjoy cocktails while seated at the bar, relax on the outdoor sofas, or recline at the bar’s submerged pool lounge chairs. The experience is taken to the next level in the evenings when the fountain show begins after an unforgettable sunset.

Whiskey Wednesdays at Gadao Bar

Guests can start or end their dinner with a drink at Gadao Bar located at the resort’s lobby level. Named in honor of Guam’s legendary Chief Gadao, the ancient and fearless Chief of the village of Inajaran, Gadao Bar turns into an intimate whiskey specialty bar at night. Every Wednesday through March 31 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., all whiskeys will be served with a bold 50% discount.

Guam’s elderly honored with exclusive 55+ staycation package

To treat the island’s saina (elders) of Guam to a relaxing staycation, The Tsubaki Tower is offering the Guam Resident Man’amko’ Staycation package exclusively for those 55 and older. The package includes a gorgeous Camellia room stay plus a balcony breakfast for two, an extended 28-hour stay (check-in at 1:00 p.m. and checkout at 5:00 p.m. the next day), and a 30% discount coupon for Spa Ayualam. The weekday staycation package makes a great gift. This offer is available through the end of March for $280 plus 11% tax.
