(Tamuning, Guam) Friday, February 2, 2024 - In a continued effort to bridge the digital divide, GTA hosted its sixth Mobile Manåmko' workshop series on Monday, January 22.

The Mobile Manåmko' Workshop Series is designed to equip seniors with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in utilizing modern technology. By doing so, the program aims to empower them to stay connected with loved ones, access online resources, and enhance their overall quality of life. Tailored to meet the unique needs of the elderly community, the workshops cover essential topics such as smartphone usage, online safety, video calls, and social media.

Sharon Davis, Vice President of Customer Experience at GTA, expressed the value of the workshop, stating, "It was a very valuable hour, not just for the seniors but also for their families, letting them know that we can support them beyond the Tamuning Senior Center by providing much-needed services to their loved ones."

Louise Rivera, Mayor of TaTuHa, extended gratitude to GTA, saying, "Thank you so much to GTA. This is something our senior citizens wanted – for GTA to come and provide this service to the community. They also provide complimentary telecom services to not only the Senior Center but the Mayor's Office and the Tamuning gymnasium. Thank you very much, GTA."

The upcoming Mobile Manåmko' workshop schedule is as follows:

  • May 20, 10 am to 11 am - Santa Rita Senior Center
