(Tamuning, Guam) Wednesday, September 4, 2024- GTA is excited to announce the launch of its Youth Leader Program for the 2024-2025 school year. Applications for the Youth Leader Call Out are open now through September 30. Since its inception in 2019, the program has recognized exceptional young leaders who excel academically and are committed to making a positive community impact.
Exciting Opportunities for Participants
The top five selected participants will receive an:
iPad Air 5th Generation (256 GB).
Among these, the top two will also benefit from:
$1,000 Academic Scholarship Up to 100,000 United airline mileage points for SY 2024-2025 to support competitions in sports, arts, or academics Opportunity to partner with GTA Gives to bring a community project to life, gaining support and valuable leadership experience
Project Submission Details
Students are encouraged to submit a detailed pitch that includes:
The Cause: Explanation of the community issue or need being addressed.
Project Title: A creative and descriptive name for the project.
Project Description: Outline of activities, initiatives, and implementation details.
Timeline: Project timeline from planning to completion.
Involvement: Details on collaborators, including volunteers, organizations, or businesses.
Costs and Materials: Breakdown of required resources and estimated budget.
Impact: Description of the expected positive changes or benefits for the community.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 Demonstrate leadership and a commitment to creating positive change Be a Guam resident and enrolled in a local high school for the 2024-2025 academic year
Selection and Support
Projects will be evaluated based on creativity, feasibility, potential impact, and alignment with GTA Gives’ values. The top two projects will receive support to ensure successful implementation and lasting community impact.
