The University of Guam proudly celebrated the successful launch of its first-ever UOG Golf Driving Range Challenge: “Driving Higher Education Fore-ward!” on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at the Country Club of the Pacific in Windward Hills. As the final event of UOG Charter Month, it brought together students, businesses, alumni, and community members to rally around a shared mission—making higher education more accessible.
Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of sponsors, participants, and supporters, the event raised more than $20,000 for the University’s College Affordability Initiative. Through scholarships managed by the UOG Endowment Foundation, the initiative supports students needing financial assistance to stay on course to earn their degrees.
The family-friendly day featured engaging activities and competitions, including “Longest Drive” and “Straightest Drive,” offering fun, friendly rivalry while championing a meaningful cause.
UOG President Dr. Anita Borja Enriquez shared her gratitude, stating: “We are truly thankful for the support of our sponsors and the community. The funds raised through this event demonstrate the impact of a collaborative effort for a worthy cause.”
Dr. Enriquez also recognized the leadership of the UOG Endowment Foundation, event co-chairs, student volunteers, and all event sponsors and donors.
“Together, we are driving higher education forward and helping students achieve their academic goals.”
