(Tumon, Guam – March 3, 2023) The Tsubaki Tower invites Guam’s residents and visitors to enjoy Mes CHamoru (Chamorro Month) in Tumon through the resort’s culinary and cultural experiences planned throughout the month.

“Our goal this month is to share some of the best of Guam’s culture with our international guests, visiting military personnel, and our resident guests,” said Joel Davis, Assistant General Manager at The Tsubaki Tower. “We are celebrating the culture and history of Guam by creating memorable experiences through cultural performances, crafts, art, and food.”

In-house guests can enjoy cultural activities planned during their stay: music lessons (Mondays and Thursdays at 4:30 p.m.) and cultural activities such as weaving and coconut activities (Sundays and Fridays at 3:00 p.m.).

The community is invited to join Tsubaki guests for the sunset cultural music and dance performances by Inetnon Gefpa'go every Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. and Saturday at 6:00 p.m. at the Garden Pavilion, Tsubaki’s outdoor stage Before the performance, Inetnon Gefpa'go will greet guests as they arrive at the hotel’s main entrance and welcome them to the performance overlooking the garden and ocean.

Pop-up Fairs Planned

Everyone is welcome to attend to support the island’s artists and makers. Please note that the outdoor performances and events may be subject to change due to the weather.

Chamorro Fusion Menu and Cocktails

Beginning March 5, The resort's two bars -- Nunu Bar and Gadao Bar – will present Tsubaki’s Legendary Cocktails that honor the island’s history and storytelling. Be sure to ask for two of the most popular cocktails by name, Chief Gadao and Taotao Mo’na, to name a few.

“Our Chamorro Fusion food and beverage program was very popular with our guests last Chamorro Month. We’ve been looking forward to expanding our celebration through an enhanced offering of local dishes and inspired cocktails,” Davis added.
