Welcome to virtual vacation video series where we can explore destinations from the comfort of our homes.

Join us as we take a short virtual journey to the Gold Coast in Australia.

The great thing about this destination is that it is easily accessible from almost anywhere in the Pacific theater and getting there can be relatively inexpensive.

Gold Coast is a beautiful 20-mile coast in Queensland, Australia, which is blessed with natural beauty, traditional aboriginal culture, arts, and delicious cuisine. This is a great place for a quick virtual getaway.

Some of the must-see spots on the Gold Coast include:

  • Surfers Paradise – This coastal suburb of the City of Gold Coast is host to a wide sand surf beach, crystal clear turquoise ocean with the backdrop of skyscrapers. This is also one of the busiest shopping areas in the city and also offers many nightlife activities after dark.

  • Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary – This zoological garden boasts of one of the largest collections of Australian native species in the world. Here you can visit with dingos, feed massive saltwater crocodiles and experience Australia’s untamed nature up close. Don’t forget to get a snap while holding a koala!

  • Pacific Fair – A paradise for those who want to shop ‘til they drop. This shopping mall houses more than 400 shops and also, dining and entertainment options. Here, you can shop for any local Australian product and delicacy along with top brands. It is a nice place to visit, especially on a rainy day.

A visit to the Gold Coast would not be complete without sampling dishes with authentic “Aussie Beef,” as it is widely known for being exceptionally tender and having a juicy flavor. Australian grass-fed cattle are raised in a natural environment without stress, which makes for superb cuts of beef.

I hope you enjoyed our virtual visit to Australia’s enchanting Gold Coast and that perhaps it's inspired your next trip. Stay safe and get ready to travel with us in our next video. Thanks for watching!
